Skales And EFCC Trade Words Over ‘Home Invasion And Assault’

Nigerian musician, Skales has traded words with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for raiding his home.

Gatekeepers News reports that Skales accused the anti-graft of oppression, and false assumption of being a fraud, via his “X” account formerly Twitter.

Skales wrote, “God go purnish una @officialEFCC I am not a criminal , I have never don fraud in my life , you came in with guns to oppress me in front of my daughter and her mother & my staffs. you will never prosper in anything you do as long as you’re efcc staff! You will always be a failure”

He continued, “There’s nothing anyone can tell me again !! @officialEFCC is a criminal organization..you better come pay for my properties that you have destroyed!! Stupid people..I just fucking got back from an event tried to put my daughter to sleep..then u wake me up to nonsense..una papa”

In reaction to these allegations, the EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale debunked allegations in a recent statement.

Oyewale explained, “First, we don’t invade. Second, we don’t conduct raids. Third, there are specific protocols to identify genuine EFCC operatives. So, these claims don’t align with how EFCC operations work.”

He emphasised the importance of verifying allegations against any organisation, considering the prevalence of impersonations.

According to him, “People can make allegations, but it’s crucial to match them with the actual facts.”

Furthermore, the EFCC Spokesman urged the singer to provide evidence to support his claims, adding that “If he has photo or video evidence to prove it’s an EFCC operation, we encourage him to come forward because we don’t engage in such activities.”

In response to the statement released by the EFCC spokesperson, Skales wrote on X, “They ceased my fone after checking and they saw nothing but my neighbors recorded them beating up one of my neighbors”

Skales further shared videos on his “x” timeline, adding these are some of the things his neighbors also passed through.
