Elder Washima Erukaa, who was abducted by gunmen on September 23rd at his Zakibiam residence in Ukum Local Government area of Benue state, has reportedly been killed by his abductors.
Gatekeepers News reports that Elder Washima was a former chairman of Katsina Ala and Ukum Local Government areas in the state.
According to The Nation, a reliable family member stated that the kidnappers informed them of Erukaa’s death and claimed he has been buried.
However, when contacted Anene Catherine, the police spokesperson, mentioned that she does not have information about the situation and stated, “I don’t have any information as of now. I will let you know once I get any update.”
