JUST IN: Fire Razes Sawmill In Lagos 

A fire incident occurred at a sawmill in Abule-Egba along the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.

Gatekeepers News reports that giving a situation update on Sunday, Margaret Adeseye, Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service at 5.36 pm on Sunday said the fire had been prevented from “spreading beyond the sawmill and put under control”.

She said that firefighters from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service from Agege, Abesan and Alausa stations were at the scene to put out the fire.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known, and no casualties were reported. The situation was brought under control, with efforts made to contain the fire within the sawmill premises.
