Former Minister of State, National Economic Planning, Prince Clem Agba has scored the highest in the screening conducted ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s primaries in Edo State.

In a document exclusively sighted by Gatekeepers News, the Prof. Julius Ihonvbere-led screening panel announced that Agba scored 89% in the screening.

The former had over 80% alongside five others including Monday Okpebholo, Lucky Eghosa Imasuen, Dennis Idahosa, David Imuse, and Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe.

Meanwhile, six others including former APC governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Anamero Sunday Dekeri, Charles Airhiavbere, Dr. Blessing Agbohmere, Gideon Ikhine, and Oserheimen Osunbor.

The Committee cleared all the above aspirants to participate in the forthcoming primary of the party on Saturday, February 17.

In December 2023, Agba declared his intention to contest the 2024 Edo governorship election on the platform of the APC.

He announced his initerest at his ward in Uzanu community in Etsako East LGA of the state.

The election is scheduled for September 21, 2024.
