APC Renewed Hope Coalition Commends Edo Governorship Primary

Renewed Hope Coalition has commended the Governor Hope Uzodimma led primary committee on the successful election that produced Dennis Idahosa as the Edo state governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Chairman, of APC Renewed Hope Coalition, Edo State Chapter, Stevens Jim commend Governor Hope Uzodimma for his exemplary leadership and commitment to deepening democracy in Nigeria.

He further appeal to all contestants to close ranks and support Honourable Dennis Idahosa in his quest to take Edo state to a greater height.

The statement read, “Gentlemen of the Press, it is an honour to stand before you today to speak on the outcome of the APC Governorship Primaries in Edo state on Saturday, 17th February 2024.

“A primary election that saw the emergence of the Member of the House of Representatives Honorable Dennis Idahosa emerge as the lawful winner of the election.

“It is of knowledge that the National Leadership of the APC has made it known that it will adopt the direct primary mode of election in the state to show transparency, fairness and accountability and on that basis, the indefatigable Chairman of the progressives Governors’ forum and Imo state Governor Hope Uzodimma was unanimously appointed as the Chairman of the electoral committee for the primaries in Edo state.

“At this point, we would like to commend Governor Hope Uzodimma for his exemplary leadership and commitment to deepening democracy in Nigeria. Because Under his watch, the just concluded APC primaries in Edo state stand as a shining example of transparency, fairness, and integrity in the electoral process.

“Governor Uzodimma and his team’s dedication to upholding the principles of democracy has ensured that every eligible member of the party had an equal opportunity to participate and have their voices heard.

“In a time where the credibility of electoral processes is often called into question, the electoral committee headed by Governor Hope Uzodimma has set a new standard for conducting primaries by prioritising transparency and inclusivity.

“The smooth and orderly conduct of the primaries across the 18 local government areas of the state is a testament to APC’s unwavering commitment to upholding the democratic ideals upon which our nation was founded.

“We unequivocally pass a vote of confidence on the Governor Uzodimma-led Electoral committee for conducting a free, fair and credible primary.

“The emergence of House of Representatives member Dennis Idahosa as the winner of the APC primaries in Edo state is a testament to APC’s commitment to promoting excellence and competence in governance.

“Once again, our party, the APC has demonstrated its dedication to selecting candidates based on their qualifications, vision, and ability to serve the people effectively and put the choice of the people first.

“It is worth noting that APC is one in Edo state, and there’s no division; now that a candidate has emerged, it is important for us all to rally around the winner and ensure the victory of APC in the September 21 Governorship election in Edo state.

“It is a known fact that Edo state is APC, and APC is Edo state. We will do all it takes to take back our state from the vampires who are holding down our state.

“And in order to achieve this we must speak with one voice and support our Governorship candidate in person of Honourable Dennis Idahosa whose qualifications and track records speak volume.

“At tvolumesncture, we would also like to commend the National leadership of the All Progressive Congress led by our amiable Chairman, His Excellency Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, for standing by the truth and Commending the Hope Uzodinma’s election committee and also congratulating the winner in person of Hon. Dennis Idahosa, it outrightly shows that the APC is committed to fairness and justice.
