FCT Residents Loot NEMA Warehouse Amid Economic Hardship

Residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja reportedly looted a warehouse belonging to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

Gatekeepers News reports that the loot happened on Sunday morning at the warehouse, located in the Phase 3 Region of the FCT, was targeted by the residents seeking relief from the economic challenges they are facing.

The incident was confirmed by the FCT command spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, who stated that the situation is now under control.

This incident comes on the heels of protests in Lagos and Ibadan against the high cost of living and soaring food prices.

Human rights groups, including the Joint Action Front and the Coalition for Revolution, recently protested in Lagos, while youths in Ibadan took to the streets to decry the economic situation.
