Lagos State government has uncovered yet another set of apartments in the highbrow area of Ikoyi.
Gatekeepers News reports that Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, announced this in a tweet on his official X page.
Wahab disclosed that the illegal settlement was discovered under Osborne Bridge, Ikoyi.
“Another illegal settlement was discovered under the Osborne Bridge, Ikoyi. Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps @LAGESCOfficial (KAI) commenced immediate clearance operation,” the commissioner wrote on X.
He also shred videos of the location.
Wahab had earlier disclosed that the Lagos State Government discovered an apartment under the Dolphin Estate Bridge in Ikoyi where tenants paid N250,000 annual rent.
He further revealed that the under-bridge apartment has 86 partitioned rooms with 10×10 and 12×10 sizes.
