A 3.7 magnitude earthquake has hit Malayer in western Iran’s Hamedan province on Monday.
Gatekeepers News reports that the earthquake occurred after the tragic death of the President of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash on Sunday.
According to the Seismological Centre of the Geophysics Institute of the University of Tehran, the earthquake occured at 08:20:52 local time and was 10 kilometers deep.
The earthquake was centered 9 kilometers from Samen, 18 kilometers from Malayer, and 18 kilometers from Oshtorinan. There have been no reports of damage or casualties so far.
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had earlier Friday declared a five-day period of national mourning to honor the tragic. death of the president and others who died in the crash.
