My 20-Year Career Is Incomplete Without Don Jazzy— D’banj

Nigerian singer, D’banj has praised his colleague and the founder of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy for his contribution to his career.

Gatekeepers News reports that D’banj took to his official Instagram page on Tuesday to share a video of himself visiting Don Jazzy while presenting him with a gift box.

D’banj also gave the Mavin Records boss a harmonica — a trademark instrument that showcases his music style under Mo’ Hits.

D’banj and Don Jazzy co-founded Mo’ Hits Records which housed singers like Wande Coal, Dr SID, D’Prince, and K-Switch in 2004. However, D’banj left the group in 2011.

The label housed famous artistes like Wande Coal, Dr SID, D’Prince, and K-Switch.

He recalled how they returned from the United Kingdom in 2004 and decided to do music together.

D’banj praised Don Jazzy for believing and covering him during their time together.

He added the caption to the video “I started this 20 years journey with you. 20 years ago we came back from London together. I remember that in 2004 when we started you were the first person that believed in me. The first person that covered me. And you were there throughout. I just want to say the story is not complete without you.”

“My 20 year journey cannot be complete without It’s @donjazzy again! Giving him the invite to my anniversary dinner was a moment filled with nostalgia. As we both celebrate 20 years in the industry, I’m reminded of the countless memories and milestones we’ve shared together.”

“Here’s to two decades of brotherhood, entertainment, and unwavering support. Love you always, Brother! OooSHee.”
