Security Operatives Arrest Woman For Transporting Ammunition To Terrorists

Security operatives have arrested a woman known as Aisha Abubakar for allegedly transporting ammunition to gunmen in Katsina.

Gatekeepers News reports that a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama revealed that the operatives discovered the ammunitions during a routine luggage inspection.

According to the publication, the suspect initially denied being involved but later confessed after being interrogated.

Makama said,” She initially denied involvement but later confessed to be transporting the ammunition to terrorist groups from Nasarawa state.”

“During the course of interrogation, the suspect confessed that she was heading to Yan Tumaki in Dan Musa LGA in Katsina state.”

There has been a wide increase in the kidnapping rate for ransom and banditry in the north-western region.

Zagazola Makama had on April 29, reported that the military launched air strikes on the camp of a terrorist kingpin, Bello Turki in Kagara forest, which affected Shinkafi LGA in Zamfara and Isa LGA in Sokoto.
