Nigerian-American singer and songwriter, Collins Obinna Chibueze also known as Shaboozey’s hit track “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is now the Number One spot on Billboard Hot 100 after spending weeks in Top 10.
Gatekeepers News reports that the singer took to his official Instagram account to announce the news to the world.
Posting a tweet of the new chart achievement, the twenty-nine-year-old artist posted, “We did it yall.”
“We no. 1. I love y’all. HAPPY A BAR SONG DAY. TAKE A DOUBLE SHOT OF WHISKEY 4 ME! VA TO THE WORLD!”
In a follow-up message on X, Shaboozey wrote, “The actual feeling of having your ‘dreams come true’ is indescribable, and I hope everyone gets to experience it at some point in life.”
Shaboozey released his first single, “Jeff Gordon,” in 2014 and his first studio album, “Lady Wrangler,” in 2018.
Also, on Billboard Hot 100, is another Nigerian singer, Jordan Adetunji with his song ’Kehlani’ on Number 52.
