Kano state Governor, Abba Yusuf has reinstated Aliyu Abdulkadir as Emir of Gaya after downgrading of the emirate to second-class status.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Governor also appointed district head of Rogo LGA, Muhammad Mahraz, as Emir of Karaye.
Governor Yusuf also appointed district head of Bunkure, Muhammad Umar, as Emir of Rano.
The spokesperson to the state Governor, Sanusi Bature, announced this through a statement released on Wednesday.
The Governor said the reinstated emir of Gaya and new appointees in Karaye and Rano will serve as second-class Emirs and subordinates of Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
He further congratulated the reinstated Emir and the newly appointed Emirs and urged them to be custodians of culture, peace, and unity of people in their respective emirates.
The statement added that their appointments are with immediate effect.
