Leaders of organised labour have asserted that they accepted N70,000 as the new minimum wage after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu vowed it would be revised every three years.
Gatekeepers News reports that the president approved N70,000 as the new minimum wage for workers in the Nation on Thursday.
He made the announcement during a meeting with leaders of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) at the State House, Abuja.
President of NLC, Joe Ajaero, while speaking after the meeting, revealed that they accepted the offer because Tinubu promised a review every three years.
Ajaero, supported by president of TUC, Festus Usifo, and other representatives of Nigerian workers, added that the unions agreed to the offer because of other incentives attached.
