The 40-day Fidau prayers for the late Pa Alhaji Amedu Aledeh, who passed away on June 18, 2024, are scheduled to take place on July 27, 2024, in Agbede, Edo State, Nigeria. Pa Aledeh was the father of the renowned Arise News Anchor and publisher of Gatekeepers News International, Sulaiman Aledeh.

In Islamic tradition, Fidau is a significant prayer ceremony held to honor the deceased and seek blessings for their soul. Family, friends, and well-wishers are expected to gather to offer prayers and pay their respects to the memory of Pa Aledeh.

In a statement released by the head of the family, Hud Aledeh expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support received during this difficult period. “We are deeply thankful for the prayers and support from friends and well-wishers during these trying times,” he said.

Hud Aledeh also announced plans for a memorial service to establish community services in honor of the late Pa Aledeh. These initiatives, known in Islam as Sadaqatul Jariya (continuous charity), are intended to provide ongoing benefits to the community.

The family welcomes all who wish to join them in prayer and remembrance at the Fidau ceremony in Agbede, Edo State.
