Lagos State Government has suspended the commencement of E-Call Up system on Lekki-Epe corridor til further notice.

Gatekeepers News reports that Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi announced this through a statement released on Friday.

Recall that the government had planned to commence e-call system operation on Lekki-Epe axis to tackle the chaotic traffic gridlock caused by truckers.

Osiyemi said,” After further consideration of Stakeholders request to extend the timeliness in order to give adequate room for full compliance, the Lagos State Government has postponed the commencement of E-Call Up system on Lekki-Epe corridor.”

He further urged all stakeholders to make use of the opportunity to step up their preparation for the successful take-off of the technology-driven solution of truck movement on Lekki-Epe corridor.
