President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Nigeria’s team, D’Tigress on qualifying for quarter-final of women’s basketball at 2024 Paris Olympics.
Gatekeepers News reports that D’Tigress will be the first African team in basketball to compete in quarter-finals at Olympics.
The president congratulated the team through a statement released by his spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale on Sunday.
Tinubu commended their team for their uncommon demonstration of resilience, teamwork, and diligence.
The President also commended the coach and managers of the team for their dutifulness and dedication.
Tinubu enjoined the brave Tigress not to rest on their oars until the final victory is won.
He assured the team and the entire Nigerian contingent at 2024 Olympics of his support as they represent the country at global sports event.
