Senator Ali Ndume has apologised to the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership for not channeling his grievances through the party before making public comments.
Gatekeepers News reports that Ndume, however, stands by his remarks alleging that the President Bola Tinubu administration is populated by kleptocrats.
Following his comments, Ndume was removed as Senate Chief Whip and asked to resign from the party.
After meeting with the party leadership in Abuja, Ndume admitted his mistake, stating, “I should have talked to the party as the last bus stop.”
He maintained that his comments were borne out of patriotism.
APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje accepted Ndume’s apology, describing the disagreement as a “family matter.”
The party will convey the resolution to the National Assembly, hoping for a review of Ndume’s position.
