JUST IN: Labour Leaders Converge As Ajaero Honours Police Invite

President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero has appeared at Force Headquarters to honour the Police force invite.

Gatekeepers News reports that the police had on Monday 19 August, invited Ajaero for questioning over allegations of criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing, subversion, and cybercrime levied against him.

He was asked to report at IRT complex, old Abattoir by Guzape Junction, Abuja at 10 am on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

Ajaero through his lawyer, however, declined the police’s request for interrogation on Tuesday 20 August, and instead scheduled an alternative date for Wednesday, August 29.

Labour leaders started converging on headquarters of NLC HQ to rally support and accompany the president as early as 8 am today.

NLC lawyer, Chief Femi Falana however told the workers to stay back at Labour house to avoid a rowdy session.

Falana assured them that he and other lawyers from his chamber will handle the situation well.

Police operatives could be seen a few meters away from NLC facility to maintain law and order.

Falana, Maxwell Opara, Deji Adeyanju and others then accompanied the NLC President to Force headquarters.
