Omoyele Sowore, Convener of the #RevolutionNow protest has been released from NIS detention, shortly after his arrest.
Gatekeepers News reports that Sowore was on Sunday morning, detained at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos state, Southwest Nigeria, upon his arrival in Nigeria.
The presidential candidate of African Action Congress (ACC) in the 2023 election who had earlier announced his arrest, revealed he has been released through a post on Twitter.
The politician also revealed that his international passport had been released to him after it was confiscated.
He wrote, “I have just been released by the Nigerian Immigration after a brief detention and my passport released back to me.”
