President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as substantive chief justice of Nigeria (CJN).
Gatekeepers News reports that she has held the position in acting capacity following the retirement of Olukayode Ariwoola in August.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the council chambers of Aso Rock villa on Monday.
The swearing ceremony followed following the confirmation of Kekere-Ekun’s nomination as CJN by the senate last week.
Kekere-Ekun is Nigeria’s 23rd CJN and second female to become CJN in Nigeria’s history.
