Members of non-academic staff of Nigerian public universities have announced the suspension of the indefinite strike from Tuesday, 5 November.
Gatekeepers News reports that this was announced in a strike update sent to the chairpersons of branches across the country on Sunday.
Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) and Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU) said the strike that began on Sunday, October 27, 2024, will be shelved from Tuesday, 5 November 2024.
This comes a day after Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) said payments to members of the unions had commenced and many have confirmed receipt.
