Former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has honoured invitation of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) again over alleged misappropriation of funds.
Gatekeepers News reports that according to reports; the former Governor drove himself in a black Hilux to EFCC office on Tuesday morning in the company of his lawyers.
This followed the Supreme Court judgment which dismissed states’ case on the constitutionality of the anti-graft agency.
There were insinuations last week that he was going to visit the EFCC but the former governor’s media aides did not respond to enquiries on the information.
At the hearing heard on the fresh charges preferred against Yahaya at FCT High Court Maitama on November 14 in Abuja, EFCC had sought an adjournment to November 27 in the fresh case it instituted against the former Governor, adding that the 30 days window was still running for the summons earlier issued.
EFCC admitted Yahaya’s co-defendants, Umar Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu, to administrative bail and prayed the court for an extension of time for the 1st Defendant to appear.
The presiding judge, Justice Maryanne Anenih then adjourned the case for the arraignment of Yahaya.
