Music executive Paul Okoye, also known as Paulo, has publicly criticised human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju for accusing Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, of oppressing fellow artist Speed Darlington.
Gatekeepers News reports that Speed Darlington was arrested by officers from the Imo State Command of the Nigeria Police Force in Owerri, Imo State’s capital on November 26.. This incident marks his second arrest; he was previously detained on October 4 and subsequently released on bail after spending five days in custody.
In a post on social media platform X, Adeyanju alleged that Burna Boy was involved in the circumstances surrounding Speed Darlington’s recent arrest.
Paulo responded to these claims in an Instagram post, challenging Adeyanju’s assertions and urging him to refrain from referencing Burna Boy.
He stated that Adeyanju should respect Burna Boy’s name, tagged him a “social media lawyer” and charged him to verify his facts before making such accusations.
“Lawyer Deji or what ever they call you!!!! Can you put respect on Burna Boy’s Name Why are you even mentioning Burna Boy’s name?? Smh You’re nothing more than a social media lawyer! Lawyer my A** Get your facts right before you open your gutter mouth Control your client,” he wrote.
