Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) Results Area II (FADAMA CARES) has distributed motorcycles to its twenty-seven 27 facilitators in Jigawa.
Gatekeepers News reports that the State Programme Coordinator, Dr Aliyu Inuwa-Dutse In a speech at the brief ceremony in Dutse on Thursday, charged the facilitators to use the motorcycles responsibly.
Inuwa-Dutse noted that the machines were provided to support their field operations and ensure effective service delivery.
He highlighted the importance of the intervention in strengthening the facilitators’ mobility and urged them to adhere to the signed agreements of maintaining the motorcycles.
The coordinator said: “These motorcycles are provided to ease your fieldwork and improve the overall impact of FADAMA CARES in Jigawa.”
“It is your responsibility to ensure they are used solely for the intended purposes.”
A member of Beneficiary Selection Committee, Mr Aminu Adamu commended the facilitators for their contributions to the success of FADAMA CARES in the state.
According to Adamu; the gesture &: part of the agency’s attempts to acknowledge and reward them for their tireless efforts.
He also urged the facilitators to ensure proper maintenance and security of the motorcycles for a long-lasting benefit.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Kazaure facilitator, Mallam Yahaya Muhammad, expressed gratitude to the agency for the intervention.
Muhammad described it as a timely solution to the transportation challenges they were facing in reaching rural communities, especially the hard-to-reach areas.
He urged NG-CARES to assist them financially in the fuelling and maintenance of the motorcycles.
Muhammed assured the team of facilitators’ commitment to use the motorcycles effectively to achieve the goals of FADAMA CARES initiative.
