Governor of Kebbi state, Nasir Idris has approved the release of N585.4 million for payment of tuition fees for 100 students studying in different universities in India.
Gatekeepers News reports that Commissioner for Higher Education, Alhaji Isah Abubakar-Tunga disclosed this at a news conference
on Monday in Birnin Kebbi.
The commissioner noted that the payment is for Kebbi indigenes studying in India.
He reiterated the commitment of the state government to promoting academic and moral excellence in the tertiary education sector.
Tunga urged people of the state to continue to pray for the continued success of the present administration during their individual and collective prayers.
