National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the fare for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.
Gatekeepers News reports that individuals from Southern states are expected to pay a fare of N8.7 million, according to a statement released on Monday.
In contrast, intending pilgrims from the Borno and Adamawa zones will have a reduced fare of N8.3 million, while those from the Northern zone will pay N8.4 million for their journey to Saudi Arabia.
NAHCON emphasised that these fare rates were determined after extensive discussions with key stakeholders, including representatives from the presidency and state pilgrims’ boards.
The statement read, “The 2025 Hajj fare for Borno and Adamawa zone’s intending pilgrims is N8.33 million. Similarly, the cost for intending pilgrims from the Southern states is N8.78 million, while pilgrims from the Northern zone will pay N8.46 million.
“This modest effort was achieved after extensive consultations to ensure inclusivity in the decision-making process”
Prospective pilgrims were advised to adhere to Saudi guidelines, register early, and make timely payments to avoid inconveniences
