Operatives from the Nigeria Police Force neutralised the kidnappers of Folashade Odumosu, the wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police Hakeem Odumosu.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed to Channels TV on Thursday morning that the victim regained her freedom on Wednesday.
Folashade Odumosu was abducted last Thursday at the entrance of her residence in Arepo, located within the Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State. The operation to rescue her was led by Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo.
The kidnappers had taken the victim through a swampy area to an undisclosed location after forcibly removing her from her SUV.
In the latest update, Adejobi noted that the police operatives also succeeded in recovering the ransom that had been paid to the abductors. However, he refrained from divulging the specific amount of the ransom or the exact location where the victim was rescued.
