Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has postponed its proposed protest against the 50 percent telecom tariff increase.
Gatekeepers News reports that this came after NLC had a meeting with government representatives on Monday over the protest planned to hold on Feb. 4.
Recall that the Federal Government recently approved a 50 per cent increase in telecom tariff after telecommunications companies proposed a 100 per cent increase.
A 10-member committee, consisting of five members from NLC and the government has been set up to review the tariff hike report and propose solutions that address the concerns of both telecom operators and consumers.
The committee is expected to submit its findings within two weeks.
