Bandits have abducted five chieftains of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara.
Gatekeepers News reports that according to Zagazola Makama; the APC members, all from Kaura Namoda LGA, were abducted on Saturday while travelling to Marafa area of the state.
The politicians were on their way to the residence of Abdulaziz Yari, senator representing Zamfara West senatorial district when the bandits ambushed their convoy.
The abductees include Yahaya Sani Dogon Kade, the chairman of Dan Isah ward, and Bello Dealer, chairman of Sakajiki ward.
Zamfara police command is yet to comment on the incident.
Zamfara is one of the bases of operation of Turji Bello, the notorious bandit declared wanted by Nigerian Army.
