Nineteen-year-old Sean Kanu has officially kicked off his professional football career by signing with Górnik Polkowice, a Polish third-tier club.
Gatekeepers News reports that Sean’s football journey has taken him through various academies, including Watford FC’s youth system in England, where he refined his skills.
As the son of Nigerian football legend Nwankwo Kanu, Sean has grown up surrounded by the sport. His father’s impressive achievements, including winning the UEFA Champions League, Premier League titles, and two African Player of the Year awards, have undoubtedly inspired Sean to pursue his own football dreams.
Sean is no stranger to the spotlight, having featured alongside his father in a popular Peak Milk advert, “Papilo,” and a heartwarming “Nwankwo Kanu and Son” video. In the video, Sean proudly shared his father’s accomplishments, including winning the Olympic gold medal with Nigeria.
