President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday, met with members of Lagos state house of assembly at Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Gatekeepers News reports that the meeting which was attended by Obasa, Meranda and other legislators in the house, was held in an effort to resolve the ongoing crisis within the legislature.
36 out of the 40 lawmakers in the assembly had in January, voted to impeach Mudasiru Obasa as speaker over allegations of abuse of office and financial mismanagement.
Mojisola Meranda was appointed to replace Obasa as Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, becoming the first female speaker, before she later stepped down.
Obasa was reinstated following intervention of Governance Advisory Council (GAC), the highest decision-making body of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos.
