Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo has approved the appointment of Dr. Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor as Director-General of Edo State Diaspora Agency.
Gatekeepers News reports that the appointment was announced in a statement by Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq. Secretary to the State Government, dated March 10, 2025.
Dr. Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor is a UK-trained Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, a Medical Simulator Expert, prolific Writer, Global Goodwill and United Nations Eminent Ambassador.
She blends medicine with humanitarian work. She holds degrees from the Universities of Benin, Edinburgh and Sheffield Hallam respectively and currently pursuing a Ph.D in Law and Criminology (investigating Illegal Migration, Human Trafficking and Contemporary Slavery) at Sheffield Hallam University.
Dr. Loretta is also the lead of the Edo Diaspora Working Group and the Edo State Focus Group Worldwide.
