Hakeem Olalemi, the vice-chairman (central) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, has made allegations against Abdul-Azeez Adediran, commonly referred to as Jandor.
Gatekeepers News reports that Olalemi claims that Jandor acted as a mole for the All Progressives Congress (APC) while he was a member of the opposition party.
Jandor, who was the PDP’s candidate for the governorship in Lagos during the 2023 elections, recently announced his return to the ruling APC, stating that his decision reflects his strong commitment to the development of Lagos.
He explained that his departure from the PDP was prompted by the national leadership’s failure to enforce discipline and to address what he termed “anti-party activities” by certain leaders within the party.
In a subsequent interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Olalemi expressed that the Lagos PDP would not miss Jandor, alleging that he intended to undermine and disrupt the party’s operations in the state.
“He (Adediran) is a human being and the Nigerian Constitution allows freedom of association. He is free to resign from any group or party and join any group he wants,” he said.
“We will miss his shenanigans, comedy, and cunningness. So, we will not miss anything good about him in the party because he has done a huge havoc to our party in Lagos state.
“He has come to our party to spy, and he ruined the party. We are assuring the public that we are going to pick up the party from where it is now and take it to its Eldorado come 2027 by the special grace of God.”
Olalemi blamed the party’s national leaders and some state elders for offering Jandor the PDP’s governorship ticket on the platter of gold during the 2023 elections.
