President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved an extension for Kemi Nandap’s tenure as the Comptroller-General (CG) of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
Gatekeepers News reports that the immigration CG’s tenure was extended to December 31, 2026.
Bayo Onanuga, special adviser to the president on information and strategy, announced this in a statement on Monday.
Nandap, who joined in 1989, was appointed as NIS CG on March 1, 2024, with her tenure set to expire in August 2025.
The presidential aide noted that the NIS has
witnessed significant advancements under the leadership of Nandap.
President Tinubu commended the CG for her exemplary leadership and urged her to continue dedicating herself to the Service’s strategic priorities, which align with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting Nigeria Immigration Service in fulfilling its mandate to protect Nigeria’s territorial integrity and promote safe, legal, and orderly migration.
