Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot (ex-gantry) price of its premium motor spirit (PMS), lowering it from ₦880 to ₦865 per litre.

Gatekeepers News reports that the development was confirmed by an official of the $20 billion refinery in a statement to the press on Thursday, indicating that marketers and distributors have been notified of the updated pricing.

The price adjustment comes after a meeting held on Tuesday between representatives of the Dangote Refinery and the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun.

Following the meeting, the government reaffirmed the continuation of the naira-for-crude initiative, emphasising that this strategy is not a temporary measure but rather a fundamental policy aimed at fostering sustainable local refining in Nigeria.
