Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has ordered the immediate suspension of Dr. George Oshiapi Egabor, the Okumagbe of Uwano Kingdom in Agenebode, Estako East Local Government Area.
Gatekeepers News reports that the suspension follows recent cases of kidnapping and killings in his domain.
The governor’s decision is aimed at addressing the security challenges in the area. Dr. Egabor’s secretary, Chief Peter Omiogbemhi, has already been arrested in connection with the death of Palace Chief Late John Ikhamate.
“The suspension of the traditional ruler is indefinite,” according to a statement signed, Fred Itua, Chief Press Secretary to the Edo State Governor.
