Kaduna state police command has arrested two Nigerian Air Force (NAF) officers and two civilians following the alleged torture and death of a petrol station attendant.
Gatekeepers News reports Zagazola Makama, a counterinsurgency publication focused on Lake Chad region, revealed that Amina Abdurrazaq, 40, manager of Albash filling station on Airport road, Kaduna, on April 30, accused an employee, Joseph Fada (28), of misappropriating N335,522 from fuel sales.
Amina handed Fada over to military personnel at a nearby checkpoint. He was allegedly detained overnight by officers from the 413 Force Protection Group of the Air Force, during which he was reportedly tortured until he lost consciousness.
Fada was later taken to a patient medicine store where he died during treatment.
Following an investigation, police arrested NAF personnel Archibong Udoh and Ayodele Blessing, as well as Abdurrazaq and Maryam, the owner of the medicine store where Fada died.
Hassan noted that the suspects have been transferred for a detailed investigation, and the body of the deceased has been deposited for an autopsy.
