Edo State Security Corps Recruits Training Extended To Wednesday - Ohonbamu
Edo State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon Paul Ohonbamu has said that the training of the recruits of the Edo State Security Corps, (ESSC) has been extended to Wednesday.

Gatekeepers News reports that a statement issued by the Commissioner in Benin City disclosed that those who did not report for training at the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC Camp, Okada will not be accepted into the ESSC.

According to the Commissioner, batch 1’s deadline to report for training has been extended to Wednesday, May 28, 2025. After that day, the training camp will be closed.

The Commissioner called on the Local Government Area Chairmen to make their citizens sensitive and report for training.

“Anyone not in the NYSC Camp Okada by Wednesday, May 28, 2025, will not be allowed to join the training.

“The affected Local Government Areas are:
Ovia South West, Ovia North East, Uhunmwonde, Igueben
Esan North East, Esan South East, Etsako Central, and Etsako East.
Also expected to join the training are recruits from Esan Central, Orhionmwon, and Akoko Edo local government areas

“The recruits are expected to come along with two pairs of white round neck vests, two white pillowcases, one pair of white canvas, two pairs of white socks, cutleries, food flasks, two blue shorts, one bucket, one broom, shaving kits, and writing materials,” the statement added.
