Federal Government of Nigeria has extended its condolences to the Republic of India following the tragic crash of Air India Flight 171 in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

In a statement issued by Kimiebi Ebienfa, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Nigerian government expressed profound sorrow over the incident and offered solidarity to the Indian government and its citizens during this difficult time.
Preliminary reports indicate that there were no Nigerian citizens on board the ill-fated flight. However, the Nigerian High Commission in New Delhi is actively collaborating with Indian authorities to confirm this information and is prepared to provide consular support if needed.
The Federal Government also underscored the importance of enhancing global aviation safety and expressed its commitment to supporting a comprehensive investigation into the crash, aimed at preventing similar tragedies in the future.
