NNPC Achieves Historic 100% Crude Oil Pipeline Availability In June

Bayo Ojulari, the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, announced that Nigeria achieved 100 percent crude oil pipeline availability throughout June—a significant milestone noted during his keynote address at the 24th NOG Energy Week (NOGEnergyWeek).

Gatekeepers Newreports that the achievement marks the first time in a considerable duration that such consistency has been recorded.

Ojulari attributed this success to industry-wide security measures implemented by NNPC, which have notably enhanced crude oil production levels. He emphasised the importance of increasing investments to further boost production, highlighting that NNPC has positively changed the narrative by consistently meeting its cash-call obligations to joint venture (JV) operations.

He also pointed out that the Petroleum Industry Act has strategically positioned NNPC to lead the industry in financing essential projects. Additionally, Ojulari confirmed the successful crossing of the River Niger by the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) gas pipeline. On June 26, Oilserv Limited reported that this $2.8 million project had successfully completed the crossing after facing several setbacks. This accomplishment was made possible through effective contract reengineering and collaboration within the industry.

Furthermore, Ojulari shared his vision for the future of the conference, expressing hope that it evolves into a platform not only for discussions but also for celebrating achievements and finalizing investment deals.
