Network of Former Ministerial Aides (NETMA) has expressed condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari following his demise.
Gatekeepers News reports that the former Special Advisers, Special Assistants, and Technical Assistants to ministers appointed by President Buhari during his tenure from 2015 to 2023, praised the deceased’s commitment and dedication to the development of Nigeria.
In a condolence message signed by Dr. Philip Ugbodaga, Chairman of NETMA, the group described Buhari as a man of uncommon simplicity and courage, who demonstrated unwavering dedication to strict financial discipline and practices, stability, and economic growth.
NETMA noted that Buhari’s leadership during challenging times will always be remembered, and his efforts to promote unity and development in Nigeria will forever be cherished.
The group prayed for the comfort and strength of his family during this difficult time and wished that Allah grant him Aljannah Firdaus and eternal rest.
The statement reads: “We, the former Special Advisers/Special Assistants and Technical Assistants to the Honourable Ministers appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari during his tenure from 2015-2023, are deeply saddened by his passing and wish to express our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the entire nation.
As individuals who worked very closely with his ministers, we witnessed firsthand his commitment and dedication to the development of our dear country and his deep sense of patriotism, which permeated all his actions as president.
President Buhari’s leadership inspired a generation of Nigerians who steadfastly stood with him through his election cycles, eventually seeing him triumph at his fourth attempt.
A man of uncommon simplicity and courage, we recall his unwavering dedication to strict financial discipline and practices, stability, and economic growth. His leadership during challenging times will always be remembered, and his efforts to promote unity and development in Nigeria will forever be cherished.
