2027 Elections: More Governors To Join APC Soon — Governor Sule

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has revealed that more high-profile politicians, are set to defect to All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming months.

Gatekeepers News reports that Sule made the assertion during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, while addressing recent political developments ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Governor Sule dismissed allegations that APC was using intimidation or witch-hunting tactics to swell its ranks, noting that it is actively strategising in response to the emergence of a new opposition alliance.

When asked about the APC’s response to the new coalition, he said, “Yes, we have discussed. And it is not something, actually, that I will disclose here. You know, as they are planning, we are planning. We are in politics. We’re not just sitting down watching them plan. So as they plan, we plan. And at the end of the day, the better plans will take over.”

He further revealed that the APC has been steadily gaining ground as more Governors and lawmakers from opposition parties continue to defect to the ruling party.

Sule said, “We keep getting more and more governors from the PDP joining us. Very soon, you will hear another governor joining us. You hear every day about senators decamping and coming back to the APC. Every day. These are all part of the plans—they’re not happening just by magic.”
