APC Wins Kaduna By-Elections – Secures House Of Reps And 2 Assembly Seats

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won Chikun/Kajuru federal constituency by-election in Kaduna state.

Gatekeepers News reports that Felix Bagudu of APC polled 34,580 votes to defeat Esther Ashivelli Dawaki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who secured 11,491 votes.

The result was announced on Sunday by Abubakar Mohammed Jumare, the returning officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In the state assembly by-elections, APC candidates also emerged victorious in Zaria Kewaye and Basawa constituencies.

At Basawa constituency, Dahiru Umar-Sani of APC garnered 10,996 votes to defeat Muazu Danyaro of the PDP, who had 5,499.

Danbala Usman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) came third with 811 votes, while Mahmuda Almustapha of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) finished with 146 votes.

In Zaria Kewaye constituency, Isa Mohammed of the APC was declared winner with 26,613 votes, defeating Nuhu Muazu of the SDP, who scored 5,721, and Mahmud Wappa of the PDP, who got 5,331 votes.
