President Bola Ahmrd Tinubu is set to leave Abuja today for Europe, where he will spend 10 days on a working vacation.

Gatekeepers News reports that this was announced in a statement on Thursday by Bayo Onanuga, the president’s special adviser on information and strategy.

Onanuga noted that the trip forms part of Tinubu’s annual leave. Tinubu is expected to divide his time between France and the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria.

The visit comes shortly after the president’s 12-day diplomatic tour to Japan and Brazil, with brief stopovers in Dubai and Los Angeles.

During the trip, he participated in the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) in Yokohama and later held bilateral meetings with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

The engagements in Brazil produced agreements in key sectors, including aviation, foreign affairs, science and technology, and agriculture. Tinubu returned to Nigeria on August 28 following the tour.

Earlier in April, the president had also spent 19 days in France and the UK on private visits.
