Trump Confirms Suspect in Charlie Kirk Shooting Is in Custody

US President Donald Trump announced on Friday, that the suspect in the killing of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk has been arrested.

Gatekeepers News reports that he told Fox News, “Somebody very close to him turned him in.”

“The person was involved with law enforcement, but was a person of faith, a minister, and brought him to a US Marshal… They drove into the police headquarters, and he’s there now.”

Recall that Kirk was fatally shot in the neck while speaking at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

Police said the gunman fired from a rooftop up to 200 yards away before fleeing, leaving behind a high-powered rifle.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox has also revealed that the suspect named Tyler Robinson has been arrested after a family member tipped off police . He vowed to seek the death penalty.
