Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused All Progressives Congress (APC) of desperately seeking 2027 endorsements for President Bola Tinubu.
Gatekeepers News reports that speaking at a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, Debo Ologunagba, PDP spokesperson, alleged that the ruling party and its leaders have resorted to premature campaigns in breach of 2022 Electoral Act.
Ologunagba said, “The APC and President Tinubu are jittery about the PDP’s ongoing recalibration.”
“Rather than allowing their achievements to speak for them, they have descended into endorsement shopping. If the president is truly performing, Nigerians will endorse him through his work, not through orchestrated declarations.”
He added that the APC is in panic mode which is a reflection of failure, stressing that the government’s policies are not yielding results.
The spokesman said, “You know your policies are not working, and then you spin narratives to cover up. Nigerians have seen through the gimmicks. The fact is, the APC has failed this country.”
Ologunagba further warned against any attempt to manipulate the 2027 polls, insisting that Nigerians must be allowed to freely express their will at the ballot box.
He called for an amendment of the Electoral Act to make electronic transmission of results mandatory.
Ologunagba said, “From all available evidence, there appears to be deliberate institutional manipulation of the electoral process.”
“If POS machines can work in remote villages, why can’t BVAS function at polling units? These so-called glitches are not technical; they suggest manipulation by INEC. Nigerians will no longer accept such excuses in 2027.”
The PDP spokesman stressed that technologies such as BVAS and iReV must be strengthened and protected by law, warning that the party will not tolerate electoral irregularities.
Ologunagba also announced that the PDP is back, fully repositioned, and ready to relaunch after its national convention scheduled for November 15–16.
