BBNaija S10: “Imisi Rightfully Won”— Dede Rejects Claims Of Regional Bias

Dede Ashiogwu, the first runner-up of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season 10, has dismissed claims that the show’s final results were influenced by regional bias.

Gatekeepers News reports that the highly anticipated finale, held on Sunday, saw Imisi emerge as the winner, walking away with the ₦80 million grand prize.

Following the event, Ossai Ovie Success, media aide to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, alleged that Dede, who is from Delta State, was unfairly deprived of victory.

In a post shared on X, Success claimed the show’s organisers deliberately prevented another contestant from the state from winning, referencing Kellyrae’s triumph in the previous season.

He wrote, “Dede was robbed by BBNaija organizers because Delta boy Kellyrae won last year, so they didn’t want another Delta to win this year’s edition. I will be suing Big Brother Naija on behalf of Dede because the voting was rigged.”

However, during the prize presentation ceremony on Tuesday at MultiChoice Nigeria’s Lagos office, Dede debunked the claim, stating that Imisi’s win was genuine and based solely on votes.

Dede said, “I don’t think it had anything to do with region. It’s about votes, she got the highest votes, and she won. So she deserves it.0

The reality TV star also revealed her plans to venture fully into the entertainment industry, particularly acting and other creative projects.

She added, “Everything amazing, everything we don’t know, everything we’ve never seen—that’s what I’m bringing.”
