2027: Borno Group Backs Tinubu / Shettima Ticket.

The Borno State Supervisory Councillors’ Forum on friday threw their weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima joint ticket for continuity ahead of the 2027 election.

Gatekeepers Newreports that the Forum commended the President Tinubu-led administration saying Nigeria and Nigerians are gradually reaping democracy dividends.

This was disclosed during a Press conference held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Maiduguri, Borno State capital.

The Forum’s Chairman, Kelli Gashau, expressed confidence that the duo of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima will propel Nigeria to new heights, improving the lives of ordinary citizens and carry out massive infrastructural development.

According to Gashau, we express our profound satisfaction with the progress of the Federal Government under His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. We see the Renewed Hope Initiative gradually yielding positive fruits for Nigeria.

” We specifically thank the President for the confidence and trust reposed in our son, His Excellency, Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON. The Vice President has proven to be a dedicated, loyal, and capable partner in national development.

” Therefore, the Borno State Supervisory Councillors Forum unanimously endorses the Tinubu-Shettima ticket for the 2027 Presidential election. We strongly urge the President to retain Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2027 Presidential ticket, ensuring continuity and consolidating the socio-economic gains currently being achieved.”

The forum also commended the state Governor , Prof Babagana Zulum for the people oriented projects carried out in different parts of the state , pointing out the 25-Year Development Plan and Governor ‘s 10-Year Transformation Agenda is yielding positive results.

” The officials and members of this forum have gathered today to unanimously commend the extraordinary developmental strides of the administration of His Excellency, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, CON, MNl,

” The Governor has recorded landmine achievements by facilitating the safe and voluntary return of countless Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). The administration has aggressively driven post-conflict recovery by commissioning thousands of resettlement homes in high-risk areas like Baga, Marte, and Gamboru Ngala, Malamfatori, Damask, Boso in Niger Republic and some parts of Bama-Banki, amongst others to ensured the restoration of civil authority.

” We laud the massive investment in human capital and infrastructure. Recent projects include the commissioning of mega secondary schools, the construction of a 60-classroom Islamic college in Biu, Monguno and Nganzai, and the recruitment of over 4,000 teachers.

” The Governor has also prioritized the welfare of educators through the construction of dedicated housing units for teachers (such as the 72 two-bedroom houses recently commissioned in Mafa), which is a key policy for motivation and incentivization. The Chairman said .
