Lagos State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Nigerian youth to actively support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement by party spokesman Mogaji Seye Oladejo, the APC highlighted that the current administration has moved beyond promises to implement policies and programmes that genuinely empower youth, contrasting this with previous governments’ alleged neglect of youth inclusion.
Oladejo cited several youth-centered initiatives under the Tinubu administration, including the National Student Loan Fund (NELFUND), CreditCorp, the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme, the NITDA Talent Hunt, and the Digital Innovation Support Fund.
He described these programmes as practical investments in skills development, entrepreneurship, wealth creation, and leadership opportunities for young Nigerians.
Oladejo also emphasised the government’s focus on free technical education nationwide, framing it as a strategic effort to promote self-reliance and entrepreneurial capacity among the youth.
Accusing the opposition of using shallow activism and social media propaganda to mislead young people, Oladejo argued that Nigerian youth can distinguish between genuine investment in their future and political tokenism.
He said, “It is ironic that the same opposition that neglected the youth for years now tries to deceive them with empty slogans. The truth is simple: Nigerian youth are wiser than propaganda. They know who genuinely invests in their future and who only remembers them during elections.”
The spokesman reaffirmed that the APC government prioritizes practical support through teaching, training, financing, and employment rather than hollow online promises.
Oladejo added, “Every policy under the Renewed Hope Agenda is designed to build a Nigeria where the youth are creators of wealth, not casualties of unemployment.”
Highlighting Lagos State’s track record in youth inclusion, he credited Tinubu’s tenure as Governor for producing countless young leaders who now serve across Nigeria, noting that this legacy has now been expanded nationally through policies that blend experience with energy and innovation.
