Agbu Kefas, Governor of Taraba State, has announced that he will defect to All Progressives Congress (APC) from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday, November 19.

Gatekeepers News reports that speaking to journalists on Saturday, Kefas described the move as one tied to the “destiny of Taraba people” and said he anticipates a large turnout for the occasion.

He said, “There is going to be a major shift and alignment on November 19. I will officially transition from PDP to APC. It is a movement that has to do with the destiny of Taraba people.”

Elected in 2023 with 257,926 votes, Kefas defeated Muhammad Yahaya of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and Emmanuel Bwacha of the APC.
